5-30-11
Olá,
Well this week wasn´t too bad. We worked our butts of and found 4 new investigators and we have two investigators marked for June 11. But things here are pretty good. Nothing too exciting happened just a regular ole week of missionary work. My Portuguese is good. I can understand most of what people say and I can express myself pretty well. There are the few grammatical errors but nothing too bad. The gift of tounges is real and I can testify to that fact. But thanks for all you guys do for me and keep the letters and photos coming.

Hello,
Well this week was very busy. We had two traingings and tranfers. I got a new comp named Elder Nielsen from Price originally, but he lives in Idaho now.
I am still in Guimarães. And we are working very hard. We already have a bunch of potentials and one guy with a baptismal date marked named Hugo. But it has been a good week. We had stake conference too. So i have been down to Porto almost everyday this week. And man am I tired now haha. But it is worth it. I lvoe it here and i have fun everyday doing missionary work. It is really rewarding to see how the Gospel makes a difference in people´s lives. Especially the Book of Mormon. Many members don´t realize how powerful the Book of Mormon is. But we use it all the time and there is always a scripture in the Book of Mormon to explain anything. So make sure you read the thing!!! I can promise that it well make your life better. Because since I have studied it here it has made a huge change in my life. So everyone read!!!
And thank you guys for all you do and keep the letters and pictures coming.

5-9-11
Olá,
Well, this week had a couple funny stories. So one happened yesterday. So, we were knocking doors in a building and people were acting weird. So, we would listen to what they would say about us when we would leave and gosh dang it every single one of them though we were jehovah´s witnesses. Eventhough we would say that we were from our Church. It was really annoying haha.
And we have an investigator named Custódio. He is 49 and not married. Has no family or a job. And he will be baptized May21. But first he has to quit smoking which he is heavily addicted to. So, could all of you pray for him. We are gonna do a program with him that if he follows correctly he will stop smoking in one week. But it has to be exact or he will fail. So pray that he will have the will power to do this because he really wants to be baptized and start his life over, but he is really afraid of this addiction that he has. So anything will help.
And no one in Portugal or my comp think that Bin Ladin is actually dead. They all think the American Government is some big evil lying machine haha And it´s funny because none of them have even the slightest idea how our govt works. but oh well just another thing to try my patience haha

Well Family,
What is up? Not many interesting things went on here this week. Just the same old tracting and contacting. Not the funnest thing, but has to happen since our branch doens´t give referrals, so..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................GIVE YOUR MISSIONARIES REFERRALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.
They really do help and make a difference. Now, not everyone in Utah is a mormon so there are still people to teach.
So, we were knocking doors and this lady answered and we started talking and she said that my accent made it seem like I was from Poland hahah I was like no I´m American haha. And I shut down someone who wouldn´t read the Book of Mormon. But of course after I proved the Book of Mormon true and the Bible unreliable, he still wouldn´t read the book. What a shame.
But other than that not much happened. Keep sending me letters and stuff.
