so last night we were knocking doors in this apt building and we knocked on this one guys door and he opened it up and we told him who we were and from then one we had a discussion about god and religion and everything for one hour and fifteen minutes we stood in his door. and about half and hour into it we were struggling for words in portuguese and he was like do you speak english and we said yeah and then he said in perfect english that he can speak in english so we did that hahait was cool but he was also just trying to prove us wrong. but he couldnt he would ask a question or say something and we always had a response then he would go back to arguements that he had usued before. but it was kinda frustrationg because some of the questions he asked would have required deep deep answers and we really didnt wanna get too deep but it would always come to the point where we would tell him he had to read and pray about god and our message then he would change the subject or ask a new question. but then he was a jerk said his last words and then befiore we could respond he said he had to go. but it was fun because we proved him wrong and we found the perfect scripture that describes him. because he was really really smart and had done his research.
2 nephi 9:28 O that cunning aplan of the evil one! O the bvainness, and the frailties, and the cfoolishness of men! this is like a perfect description of this guy he was smart but he had the councel of god right in front of him and he wouldnt take it. oh well maybe he will think about it and change or wanna talk some more.

Not Much

well not much happened this week just the normal. went to a specialized training up in Coimbra. But that was pretty much it. haha exciting i know. we lost our cell phone and had to buy a new one that sucked haha. Well i love you guys.

Valentine´s Day

hey everyone what is up? well im still in porugal haha nothing much has happened this week. so these photos are of me up at castle leiria when me and elder tolman were doing weekly planning. the castle is in the middle of the city on a huge hill. but i just had to get some heroic photos haha.
they actually do celebrate valentines day here i think but im not really sure because ive seen all the heaerts and pink crap all over the place.
i got my haircut today and the lady treated me like an idiot and wouldnt talk to me but had tolman talk for me i wanted to kill her and she cut my neck and she took like half an hour doing it.
oh and i have an invitation for you guys to try out. so the area president over here in europe gave all the missionaries an invite and then told them to tell all they teachtoo. so the invite is this. write down on a piece of paper a question it can be any question of the soul and if you go to church for all three hours and pay attention to all the speakers and what not you will before the 3 hours are up have received an answer. but you have to be reverent and it wont always come from the speaker but pay attention to your thoughts and your feelings and you will receive and answer. how do i know? because i did it this week at church and it worked i got an answer to the question that i had had. so go and try it it makes church a much more pleasureable experience and you learn a lot more.

hey everyone what is up. hope everyhting is going great back there and all. we only have one progressing investigator because all our other ones have woosed out or we dropped them because they werent progressing. but the one we do have is paulo and hes twenty and brazilian. he just lost his job but thats a good thing becuase it was keeping him from coming to church and now hes going to be going to school this year. but i really like it here and ´m always tryiong to be better when i do stuff. the language is coming awesome. ´m just working on my grammar now and also my vocabulary. but i can understand the people a lot more which is good haha. but the gift of tongues is real haha but other than that not much has been going on here just trying to find moer people to teach and all that fun studff. sorry about my spelling haha its terrible the portuguese ketboards are throwing me off because they are set up a little different. for service we teach an english class each week. it´s actuall pretty fun and i learn a lot about the english language too. my dls and zls are way cool haha they are all very funny but alos really good missionaries. the food is pretty close to american food. but they use a lot moer olive oil when they cook and its a lot of rice beans and prok. the pork here is amazing i love ti moe than the hamburger, which really isnt that good. and one thing that i really like is called jantar or to dine and arounf 730 or 800 everyone in the whole country sits down and has dinner with their family. and which seems weird but that is the worst time to go knocking because everyone gets pissed haha.
